Melodious singers and messengers of universality called bauls, who mostly live in West Bengal area. Bauls come from all religions propagate the idea of humanity and love studded with the element of life benevolence. The philosophy of the baul traces the love for the humanity by the group which became part of the Bhakti movement in the post-sixteenth century. The Guru for baul is not someone who represents God or a mediator but is referred as a Guide who is searching the truth within the heart of the man. Love, compassion remains the catchword of these bauls.
